Doug carnegie was born in Pontiac MI just north of Detroit. He started getting into playing music in 5th grade with the saxophone, however he quickly grew tired with the school band scene and moved on to bass guitar.
Then in 1998 as the underground electronic music scene was blowing up in Detroit he experienced his first rave at the legendary Bridge space in Detroit. It was during this party that he fell in love with the music and culture of the Detroit underground electronic music scene. From there he went on to start experimenting with Dj'ing on turntables and playing with machines like the Roland 808 and 505 groove boxes.
After migrating to South FL in 2001 he was able to acquire his own equipment and started to hone his craft as a DJ. Soon after he was able to meet up with some like mined individuals that were interested in setting up some electronic music events in the Naples and Fort Myers area. This led to playing in several area clubs and underground events.
Doug has been lucky enough to participate in the resurgence of the underground scene in Southwest FL. This has led to recognition that has allowed him to play at the 2010 WMC and various events in the Miami area.
